Boarding school in Ireland
Typical Irish boarding school where girls and boys aged 12 to 18 stay during the week and sometimes on weekends. There is a lot of sports and active living. Dormitories for 6-8 boys or girls, each equipped with 2 Fresh-rs.
The challenge
The teenagers spend most of the day and evening in the rooms, dining halls, and also outside. In the evening, they go to the dormitory, shower, put their clothes in laundry bags, and store their own belongings in lockers. There was a lot of moisture production and significant mold issues, so ventilating during the day while maintaining a good temperature was important. Plus, a bit of extra comfort for the boys and getting rid of the musty air!
The solution
Each bedroom is equipped with two Fresh-r units. They are specially adjusted to remove a lot of moisture and to ventilate at slightly above the minimum level during the day. Air quality and temperatures are well monitored, and where necessary, the settings were slightly adjusted during the initial phase.
