Characteristic neighborhood from the late 1920s with approximately 125 homes, where renovations of kitchens, window frames, and ventilation are taking place while the homes are occupied.
The challenge
The homes have small living rooms with outdated window frames and glass, resulting in significant heat loss. The renovation had to be carried out cost-efficiently and completed within a tight schedule of no more than 10 days per home.
The solution
The renovation was carried out according to a tightly organized construction flow, with series of 10 homes being tackled every two weeks. In the living room, WTW ventilation was chosen for extra comfort and energy savings, while the upper floor is ventilated conventionally and demand-controlled. The installation of the Fresh-r units proceeds efficiently: within one day, the systems are installed in five homes, including drilling, mounting of grilles, and neat finishing of the walls.
