Housing association, apartments in historic city center

Monumental buildings in the city center, consisting of approximately 65 apartments, are being renovated and modernized in terms of kitchens, window frames, and ventilation. The work is being carried out while the apartments are inhabited by the residents.

The challenge

The apartments, spread over three to four floors in former patrician houses, generally have one bedroom and are classified as municipal monuments. In many cases, it was not possible to expand existing ventilation ducts and shunts. At the same time, there was a clear desire to limit heat loss and improve living comfort.

The solution

Where possible, a central heat recovery ventilation (HRV) system has been used. For the majority of the apartments, a Fresh-r Compac On-the-Wall unit has been installed in the living room-kitchen, with direct air supply and exhaust through the exterior wall. The external grilles have a classic appearance and are colored to match the façades, varying per block, so that the monumental value is preserved.

Deventer Binnenstad

Can be installed by one person. Just two 130 mm holes through the wall. Drilling template, all mounting materials, and pipes including insulation are supplied. Commissioning not required.

Smallest decentralized HRV per m3 ventilation volume. Unobtrusive due to flat surfaces and slanted vertical angle. LED air quality indicator can be dimmed as standard.
